what is the procedure in changing the oil & oil filter on a 2008 ford escape hybrid? where do the o-rings go?
i know that you MUST change the o-rings when changing the oil filter as said in the owner’s manual, but I’m afraid to remove the oil and filter without knowing where the o-rings go before hand. and i hate to keep going to the dealership because they charge $45-$50 per oil change!
the guy that said about the cartridge filter is correct…..be carefull…if you don’t keep a record of the oil change(Receipt of purchase of filter and oil) the dealer that you go to may void your warrenty if something goes wrong due to you changing the filter…and since fords kinda in a crunch right now…the void stamper is really getting used.
